ABSTRACT
Astronomicall observations being the only certain and undoubted principalls and complements of that excellent Science. The quality of the land is of divers kindes; as low, middle, and mountainous, it aboundeth in woods in divers sorts, having plaines in some parts thereof, with plentie of grasse, besides pleasant streames of fresh waters, all which are very needfull and fitting for a plantation. William Gayner the bearer married to a Dutch woman hath legacies bequeathed to his wife and children, and debts due to him in the same parts he is desirous to pass over with his wife and children, with purpose to return hither. Reasons for the staye of William Gayner an Irishman & his associates from proceading in their viage out of holland to the river of Amazons and parts thereabout.
