ABSTRACT

There is a significant lack of up-to-date financial information in some areas and most notably in small companies. The first problem is that, if a company is not quoted on a stock market, its figures may be neither adequate nor available in certain cases. The second problem is to do with size, in that there is only a limited amount of information needed to be published for smaller companies. The third problem is that the company might be a part of a group, in which case there are complex rules about publication of accounts for a group structure. Corporate social responsibility is the continuing commitment by business to behave ethically and contribute to economic development while improving the quality of life of the workforce and their families as well as of the local community and society at large. This chapter explains negotiation strengths and negotiation weaknesses.
