ABSTRACT
It is impossible to say exactly how many individuals and couples have turned away from intercountry adoption and looked to commercial global surrogacy to build their families, however, there has been a shift for some in the context of the ICA decline (Rotabi & Bromfield, 2012) and the trend has even been called “perfecting adoption” by Australian researchers, Cuthbert & Fronek (2014).
