ABSTRACT

In observing the manifestations sets of canned strategies in various games for their rates of success or failure, significant leap towards identifying and predicting behaviors that far more likely to encountered in real-life management circumstances had by reviewing networked games, such as online role-playing games. Such games also provide a good starting point to incorporate Network Theory into the overarching structure of using Game Theory to identify the most effective and appropriate set of strategies for effective managerial decision-making. Probably the most basic thing the reader needs to know about Network Theory is Metcalfe's Law. In games such as World of Warcraft, veteran, predatory players have been known to hang around the introduction point for new players, pretend to be friend such players and then double-cross them at a vulnerable point in order to confiscate their gold, weapons or other assets. Similar strategies can almost be expected from Jungle Fighters within the organization, if and when they come across the opportunities.
