Global Corporations book
In the era of globalization, multinational corporations (MNCs) are accused of becoming a law unto themselves, disconnected from government control and accountable to no one. An MNC will stay in a country whilst its operations are profitable, but will depart when profits dip or better investment opportunities present themselves elsewhere. There is little point in complaining; this is the nature of economic globalization and MNCs are simply behaving exactly as the theory of open markets suggests they should.
