ABSTRACT

The idea of goals, objectives, aims and suchlike pervades the fields of business, management and personal development. NLP refers to ‘outcomes’. The term, used generically, embraces goals, intentions, desires, responses, effects and so on. It emphasizes change, and the effect of some intervention, such as a communication. This chapter describes some important goal-achievement models that you can apply to every area of your work and personal life. They form the basis of many of the NLP change techniques you will learn later.
