ABSTRACT

You have learnt the importance of developing clear, well-formed outcomes and how you can harness innate systems to achieve what you want. At the highest level in the hierarchy, outcomes usually reflect and confirm a person's values. For example, if security lies high up among your outcomes, it means you value security. Similarly, our outcomes reflect what we believe – for instance, ‘I believe in honesty’ – and this in turn often reflects these values, or what we consider important. Beliefs also include what you believe about yourself, such as ‘I'm no good with numbers’ or ‘I'm a people person.’ This chapter covers values and beliefs, including how you can change them, if you want to.
