ABSTRACT

The book consists of two parts. The first aims to present the analytic framework of the institutional system analysis and the cross-paradigmatic examination of Islam, neoliberalism and social democracy. The second is the case study section that in light of the theoretical discussion in the first section, explains the evolutionary dynamics of the Ottoman-Turkish political economy in terms of its formational, evolutionary and current structures along with a systemic insight into its future prospects. In this concluding section, I will not summarise the explanatory framework of the institutional system analysis, as I already did so at the end of the first chapter (pp. 51–54). Instead, I will directly focus on the future prospects of Turkish social system in light of this explanatory framework.
