ABSTRACT
This chapter comes to the culminating and integrating round of self, enterprise and economic actualisation, ultimately brought about through a University of Life. In the 'Western' realm, with its core theme of 'Rebuilding Infrastructure and Institutions via Enterprise and Economics', the actualising educational institution is a 'University of Life'. This chapter presents that a number of snapshots of how the increasing need for creative experimentation in order to bring about social innovation is increasingly articulated throughout society. The Gaia University, the Giordano Bruno Global Shift University and the Integral Institute are just few remarkable examples of newly emerging Universities of Life. Looking closely, there are many other similar impulses around, many in a more emergent stage. These cases, together with our lead stories of Interface and Trust and Integrity in the Global Economy (TIGE) enable to distil now some core defining patterns of a University of Life. The chapter concludes to pull all the threads of Integral Development together, culminating in the Integral University as the main institutional vehicle for full-fledged Integral Development.
