ABSTRACT
This conclusion presents some closing thoughts o key concepts covered in the preceding chapters of this book. The book aimed to offer an overview and critical discussion of Internet studies while pointing to lessons and posing questions for the future study of the Internet. It has taken a time-rich approach to the Internet and its study by intermingling past, ongoing and future-looking accounts. This approach was based on the author's strong belief that the development of the Internet and its study is running across a time continuum where in the past matters for the present and the present matters for the sorts of conclusions and hypotheses one can make about the Internet and its study in the future. It offers an overview of the field of Internet studies that would cover a significant portion of the study of the Internet and provides a wide-ranging account of the field.
