ABSTRACT
This chapter intends to shed some light on the key component of the sustainability model which is adl. This concept has many dimensions which include justice in the three domains of social, economic and environment. It addresses the notion on land and property rights, the essence and framework for social and economic justice in Islam. The final section addresses Fairtrade and Hima (protected areas) as a representation and application of justice in a globalised world that promotes people-centred development and equity.
