ABSTRACT
Al-Quds Paints Co. was established in Amman, Jordan in 1994, under the name Jerusalem Paints Industries, as a family business headed by Jamil Jubran. Being of Palestinian origin, it was important for the Jubran family to choose the name Al-Quds Paints Co., in order to reflect a geopolitical and spiritual need. The city of Al-Quds has a symbolic value, for its Arabic and Islamic architecture and colours. The company's vision states that Al-Quds Paints Co. is to become a leader both within and outside Jordan, and to become a part of each and every household. During the past two years, the company has made progress with its name Al-Quds Paints and the trade names of some putties, such as Silky Coat putty and QP tile adhesive. The industrial consultant found that applications integration, or what is known as an Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system, would be the best way of improving the technical and production systems at Al-Quds Paints Co.
