ABSTRACT
The topic of weakened states succumbing to the influence of Armed Non-State Actors requires further study, and expansion of this topic could include the addition of more diverse cases; study of circumstances in which a weakened state refused sanctuary to Armed Non-State Actors; a time study of Armed Non-State Actors’ presence in each state, and how the how the state’s actions changed; and a quantitative analysis of the characteristics found in many weakened states.
