ABSTRACT

A general manager from the defence industry used a wonderful metaphor like water to a plant. As discussed in the perception of uncertainty is the main means by which people can assess the level of complexity associated with the project. One approach is to manage communication of uncertainty with the aim of building resilience in followers. This chapter describes that communications is the most frequently cited cause of project failure and was most frequently cited by the senior project people who took part in the study. Friendliness is often associated with follower satisfaction but niceness was not necessarily associated with effective leadership. Knowledge sharing has been defined as the process where individuals mutually exchange their knowledge and jointly create new knowledge. The communications planning in complex projects emphasises that much more effort needs to be placed on planning the communications for the project.
