ABSTRACT

The review of context suggests that the dialectic requires further and refined action to moderate current reactions. A context position for an organisation suffering from Obstructive Marketing that needs to operate becomes apparent. Obstructive Marketing is the corollary of Asymmetric Warfare in the economic context and similar approaches are required. In the virtual technology arena, how an organisation deals with the virtual world and technology generally is important for context. This means, that such an environment is subject to dynamic change on an increasingly daily basis and it is absolutely vital that we understand context' in setting our organisational priorities for risk, resilience, continuity, security, crisis management and so on. Although the visual representation of the context model is helpful in picturing the environment it does not give direct assistance to any organisation seeking to position itself in context.
