ABSTRACT

Spaces, places and territories are created, destroyed and recreated daily. Not only are we defined by the position we occupy in space at different moments (which, as discussed previously, encompasses specific and changing relations we establish with places and territories), but we also become what we are as individuals and social groups by the creation, destruction and recreation of spaces, places and territories. In a process that there is no beginning, we construct spaces that shape us as indi - viduals and society.
