ABSTRACT

I shall not consider in silence how humbly and in how catholic a manner the faithful king comported himself on the pilgrimage that he undertook from Acre to the holy and devout city of Nazareth. For on the vigil of the Annunciation of Our Lady, 1 putting on a hair shirt next to his flesh, he went from Saffūriyya (Sophera), where he had lain that night, to Cana of Galilee 2 and thence to Mount Tabor; from there, the same vigil, he went down into Nazareth.
