ABSTRACT

A project was having trouble motivating the team to complete tasks. So the project board decided to implement performance contracts that contained specific deliverables and targets that each individual needed to achieve. Some of the people on the project may have worked with others previously and have a relationship beyond that illustrated on the organization chart. There can be tactical reasons for either keeping the same project manager in place throughout the project or for changing part way. On one particular project, the only way to incentivize teams to deliver the required project objectives of a software solution was to offer them some simple additional features that would make the software more useful to them. The solutions that are being offered by the project manager to incentivize teams all enhance the quality of the implementation as well as create generally good process for the organization.
