ABSTRACT
Reviews and inspections are well established in the education sector. There is a substantial literature on peer reviews (e.g. Chism, 2007), and a number of well-documented frameworks for inspections (e.g. OFSTED, 2005 and OFSTED, 2006). These cover three broad types of review:
peer review of teachers;
peer review of publications;
inspection of schools and other educational institutions.
