ABSTRACT
As in the previous chapter, the detailed analysis of feed-in tariff design options for tariff differentiation and adjustment is intended to answer our research questions as formulated in section 1.5. We analyse the evolution of feed-in tariffs in Germany, Spain and France in order to understand the reasons for increasing policy similarities in the EU. Why are national support instruments becoming more similar over time, even though two attempts at EU harmonisation of these support frameworks have failed?
