ABSTRACT

This chapter explains how interviews can be analyzed in order to quickly identify recurrent themes, these being goals, strategies and tactics. They could easily be product requirements also. Quick content analysis allows you to then produce a structured table of those goals, strategies and tactics, and identify who or what is responsible for their achievement. The goal of analysis is to structure the information interviewer have in such a way as to help you identify the right answers rapidly and effectively. Given candidate is working to a deadline; you also need to combine this with speed. There are a lot of tools on the market for transcription voice recognition systems, for instance, where candidate 'train' the software to recognize your voice, and transcription service providers who for a fee will transcribe the recordings. The chapter also discusses the impact of the Environmental Vision on the strategic initiative.
