ABSTRACT

This chapter provides a guide for recruiting talent in order to ensure successful and safe hiring. Hiring talent deserves a much more painstaking, systematic and prudent approach. Organizations should, therefore, take adequate time to source the best people in the market, especially if they are looking for global executives. Multinational corporations face such enormous diversity that their success in managing talent, including recruitment and selection, will depend on their ability to explicitly pursue high integrity as the foundational goal of the enterprise recognizing that it should indeed be the goal of global capitalism'. After a careful content analysis of vacancies in various websites and newspapers in no less than ten African countries, author found that many organizations do not have a recruitment brand or at least do not project it when they advertise positions. Google is famous as a global search brand, while cable news network (CNN) is an information brand.
