ABSTRACT

W h en the Lord Infante was besieging Iglesias he attacked it every day and shot with catapults and con strained them in such manner that they had plenty of misfortune and so much distress that, assuredly, they did not know what to do. But the Lord Infante and all his host likewise had so much sickness, that the greater part of his followers died of illnesses and he, himself, was very ill. Assuredly he would have been in great danger of dying, if it had not been for the great care of my Lady the Infanta. To God and her all must be grateful for his life.
