ABSTRACT
Over the years many theories about homelessness have developed that have both contributed to the understanding of homelessness and fuelled the homeless industry’s push for more research. How one approaches this research, to some degree, depends on the theoretical framework used, and although a number of theories broadly apply, in practice no single theory seems appropriate; thus an amalgam of theories is advocated for a thorough understanding.
