ABSTRACT

Aviation technology was invented in the West, and the air transport system was built by Westerners as well. Contributions from other cultures are almost nonexistent. In the development of aviation technology, it was Westerners who initially confronted and solved some of the most basic problems, problems of entry into unknown territory, whether of flying at higher altitudes or placing new demands on crew performance. For the Chinese, aviation technology comes from abroad, and the corresponding problems are of course coming from how to use the technology. Therefore, the nature of Taiwanese aircraft accidents is then completely different from that of the West.
