ABSTRACT

In this final chapter, the merits of the phenomenological attitude toward institutional analysis are discussed. The point is made that institutional phenomena found in China are not unique to this country but, rather, to be found in every other system. Thus, the analytics presented in this book should be valuable in studying other country contexts, as well. Application of the concepts of contextuality and sociopoiesis to the financial system in the US is an example. In the end, China can serve as a looking-glass, although a rather grandiose one, that can be used to examine institutional change the world over.
