ABSTRACT
So where have we been together on this voyage? We’ve been to a continent once known, perhaps, but not familiar. Now, we’ve taken the main roads and ventured down the side streets. We’ve met the people. We’ve been in their homes. We’ve heard other voices, other tongues, and learned to speak in them. Our imagination is richer. Through skillful use of a new language, the language of fi lm and the tools of the craft, we can express ourselves through the mouths and the sensibilities of our characters. We have learned to do this in motion.
