ABSTRACT

The concluding chapter reaffirms the book’s main argument that to make urban environments healthy for humans and non-humans and attempt to intervene in the unprecedented global damage from climate change, pollution and habitat destruction, we need to think about and treat cities as more-than-human. It revisits the book’s aims and provides an overview of key contributions. The chapter identifies some key gaps and opportunities to inspire future research and action. Drawing on the work of philosopher Val Plumwood, it closes with a further call to arms.
