ABSTRACT

This chapter addresses the third aim of the book, and is concerned with how to intervene in cities and make them healthy from a more-than-human perspective. Drawing on contributions from the literature synthesised in Part I and the arguments developed through Chapters 5 and 6, it presents innovative ideas for reorienting research, policy and professional practices to a more-than-human perspective. Using international examples, it raises the question of non-human personhood and illustrates how more-than-human agencies have changed cities for the better.
