ABSTRACT
In this chapter, you learn to start and stop your ensemble on any required count of music. You will use a modified preparatory position, from which you can give a preparatory beat in the appropriate direction to lead into any count of any meter pattern at the point where the music begins. You will also learn to give releases on any ending beat.
