ABSTRACT

I have a friend who wanted to be an accountant. He paid his tuition, studied hard, and eventually made his way in the accountancy profession. However, it did not take long before he found the work uninteresting and began new studies at university. He did very well on a psychology course, and a professor encouraged him to pursue a doctorate. He agreed and eventually became a professor and consultant. He’d completed an interesting, fortuitous journey between two very di erent professions – one specializing in numbers and the other in people.
