ABSTRACT
Today I want to discuss profits and the place of profit in the theory of equilibrium. I am afraid this is bound to be a little sterile. So much of the dispute about the theory of profit is a mere dispute about words. But it is necessary that the survey should be undertaken. It is difficult to read on this topic unless you have some notion of the intentions of the various writers.
