ABSTRACT
As we greet a new class at the beginning of a new
school year, we begin our relationship as coach of a
team of writers. From the start we want to instil in our
youngsters an expectation that we are all writers, or
learner-writers, and that we all have a wealth of things
to write about. We all have personal stories: pieces of
our lives that are worthy of recording.
