ABSTRACT
Most women imprisoned will return to their communities after relatively short sentences for low level, non-violent crimes. From finding safe housing to reestablishing relationships with children, this chapter addresses the challenges that women, mothers in particular, face as they reenter the community after incarceration. The chapter concludes with a brief set of policy and practice recommendations for reentering women and their families.
