A. The perfective aspect particle ⼗ The perfective aspect is used to indicate the completion of an action; it is, however, not equivalent to the past tense in English. The completion of an action may have occurred in the past, but it may occur in the future as well. Also, a past event may or may not need a perfective aspect particle 了.
