ABSTRACT

The primary intent of supervision is to provide ongoing developmental opportunities for teachers to explore their teaching and student learning. The clinical observation cycle does not end with classroom observation; the culminating event of the cycle is the post-observation conference (see Figure 9.1 , Chapter 9 ). This chapter explores the purposes and intents of the post-observation conference, the role of feedback, refl ection, and trust. Suggestions for conducting the conference are offered.
