An overview of European Union competition law generally and how it applies to the shipping sector generally

10.001 This chapter contains: (a) an introduction to competition law; ¹ and (b) an overview of Articles 101–106 of the Treaty on the Functioning of the European Union (“TFEU”) which are the principal articles in the Treaty as it relates to competition. ² The chapter lays the groundwork for later chapters which address some specific 602aspects of European Union (“EU”) competition law as they relate to the shipping sector. ³
