ABSTRACT

This chapter focuses on the importance of making feedback a routine part of students’ learning that must be intentionally and proactively build into the instructional planning. Formative assessment cycles should be built into all unit and lesson plans. The discussion of building feedback episodes is based on three main ideas: understanding the intended curriculum, implementing it, and summing the learning of a unit with feedback episodes in mind. The chapter approaches the discussion of feedback using questions that the reader may ask about feedback.
