ABSTRACT
Petroleum Development (Oman) Ltd, Oman’s first petroleum-producing company took as its symbol the oryx, which it duly represented on its company flag. The flag has not been seen much lately, which is not altogether surprising for it has come to their notice that the oryx is almost on the point of extinction in Oman, if not already extinct.
