ABSTRACT
New Horizons is a methadone clinic located in a mid-sized city in the Midwest. The main focus of the clinic is to address substance use and abuse issues, particularly heroin addiction. The clinic offers counseling, prevention services, and outpatient methadone and medical treatment. The clinic also offers a small inpatient program through which clients who have been incarcerated for drug-related offenses can serve their remaining time in intensive treatment. Non-incarcerated individuals can also request treatment through the inpatient program. The clinic serves a large, geographically diverse region, including urban, suburban, and rural areas of the state.
