ABSTRACT
Before considering Egypt’s age of empire, it’s necessary to understand a little about the greater region in which it became increasingly involved. A few of the neighbors have already been mentioned, including Nubia. Interactions of these lands with Egypt became increasingly complex through time, especially from the New Kingdom onward.
