ABSTRACT
Although it’s easy to stand in awe of the ancient Egyptians and their many accomplishments, it’s important to remember that they were people just like you and me, and they had the same needs as everyone else. In this chapter, we’re going to look at ancient Egyptian daily life, including what they ate, what kind of jobs they had, and how their society was organized. We’re also going to briey explore their religion and worldview, and perspective on death and the afterlife.
