ABSTRACT
There is a common expression that one person's terrorist is another person's freedom fighter. This, of course, is not meant to equate all acts of terrorism with the fight for political freedom. Instead it captures the idea that we are quick to label those who oppose us politically and who employ violent means on behalf of their cause to be nothing more than “terrorists,” which then gives us license not to address the claims—legitimate or otherwise—that they are making on us.
