ABSTRACT
I had promised Stuart Vaughan that I would do the music for Hamlet, which opened March 16. But every other second of my time day and night was devoted to my sacred service. I didn’t answer one letter, go to any parties, movies, concerts or bars. By April it was completed and we were ready to begin rehearsals.
