ABSTRACT
Civic works can rebuild public infrastructure and provide good jobs for the American worker. Today, 200 student, community, faith, labor, and human rights organizations are promoting this age-old American idea in the form of the Gulf Coast Civic Works (GCCW) Act. This federal bill has been put forward as a major solution to the continuing crisis in the Gulf Coast.
