ABSTRACT

Capitalism is an economic system that breeds war and cannot survive without it. But in an age of Weapon of Mass Destruction (WMD), it can't survive with it either. The war system will destroy the capitalism that created it, making TINA absurd. "Wars came before capitalism, and they probably will be fought in any post-capitalist system, too". The author doesn't say that capitalism is the only cause of war. But capitalism is the main cause of the war system today. It determines why most wars are fought, and also ensures endless wars. Conservatives love to point out that capitalist countries rarely go to war with each other, and that capitalism is built for trade rather than war. They view capitalism as systemically anti-war. Wars are fought for profit, and the war system is integral to global capitalism. Since the author was the first to see that globalization and the war system are hardwired into capitalism.
