ABSTRACT

This chapter discusses the online learning phenomenon, its background, advantages, and disadvantages, and answers frequently asked questions about online course and programs. Generally our first online course will be the most frustrating as we are learning not only course content but also the course delivery platform. Many reputable online programs provide free trial visits in which we will experience what it feels like to participate in an online class. When online classes began, effectiveness was frequently brought into question by university personnel who had little other than their opinions and limited experience to support their feelings that online could never be as effective as on-campus courses. If online graduate degree plan will work for we depends on many variables, including your preferred learning style, your time management skills, the philosophy of the university, and our goals and desires. It concluded that the classes with online learning on average produce stronger student learning outcomes than do classes with solely face-to-face instruction.
