ABSTRACT

Y ou’ve made it this far, and now it’s time to show off what you have accom-plished. It all began with some idea, hunch, book, or article you read, or maybe even an assignment at work or school. You managed to think up some fascinating research questions and hypotheses, operationalize your variables, and construct a reliable and valid questionnaire. Especially worthy was the sampling strategy you designed to generate representative respondents. You also demonstrated your skill in making decisions about levels of measurement and choosing the most relevant statistics to evaluate the research questions. After all this work, it’s time to share it with others and call a press conference to announce your major findings! But first, some important considerations must be kept in mind.
