ABSTRACT

This chapter is based almost entirely on a paper coauthored with Wojciech Zaborowski, Krystyna Janicka, Valeriy Khmelko, Bogdan W. Mach, Vladimir Paniotto, Kazimierz M. Słomczynski, Cory Heyman, and Bruce Podobnik, published in the Social Psychology Quarterly (SPQ) (Kohn et al. 2002). The original paper was dedicated “to our beloved collaborator and coauthor, Wojtek Zaborowski, whose tragic death is a huge loss to his family, to us, to his many other collaborators and friends, and to world sociology.” I dedicate this chapter to Wojtek as well. He played a pivotal role in developing the measurement models and the ideas used throughout the analyses.
