ABSTRACT
This chapter begins with a description of the ways in which the risk reduction effects of risk control measures can be calculated or estimated. This is followed by a description of how two techniques – brainstorming and systems thinking – can be used to generate a wider range of ideas for risk control measures. The chapter ends with a discussion of improving an organisation’s safety culture.
